About Kal Minimize

"It has been said that Kaly Don Sellers lived the life of five people, consisting of both men and women, each more wise and challenged than the next...except the last. This last life within him is a fool and this fool's errand is so disruptive, painful and shaming to the others that, however intelligent and wise they made him, he/they yet remained humble and useful. Deep in him is a pain from this disparity such that but few on earth could feel a pain which he could not comprehend, circumscribe and absorb. For all of this, Kaly is both a fool and a sage. The combination keeps him frustrated and the frustration keeps him growing and, in his mind, useful. To the rest of us, he is already a blessing beyond compare."

Month One: The Empty Cup The image of the empty cup is the image of confusion, it is the place of no answers--the only place where all answers are available. The cup is empty, it is held out to the universe humbly and steadily, fully expecting to be filled...with the very best things it can be; and yet there is no stipulation, no assumption of knowing what is not known, it is simply held there in childlike repose and expectation that some loving parent will fill in the gaps by the time it is needed.
Month Two: Gray in the Morning
The sun drew the energy of the day toward it, stealing the heat from the last before returning it in power once more. The sky was gray as the stars faded and in the most bitter cold the first rays crept over the mountain top and touched the first radiant heat upon my passing domain. The air had bite and my breath hung round about me but the sun had arrived and the wait for heat was made short in the promise of the heat of a new day.

Month Three:Treasure Never Lost
Treasure never lost: On our farm there was a great barn, locked up above the stairs now,
Where the oldest treasures of some past owner were hidden away from view.
I felt upon my shortage that perhaps, at last, I might,
Just tear the hinges from the rotten door and expose the lot to my sight.

And so I went to the toolbox and, with bar and hammer rose
To crack the hinge and then
I found a dozen chores along the way and then when supper came
The warm house spoke of salty food that nearly called my name

And so each day when due was done I found me just the same
Until one day in hurt of self confused and lock still held
By chance I heard a passer-by speak of a higher self
And from that day I left what naught, unused books upon my shelf

And soon thereafter I fell away from all the vain mundane,
And found the life beyond my dreams
And gave to all and found my light
And love and wealth and health and sight
